With the Paraguayan Superclasico just two days away, Cerro Porteno's Juan Manuel Iturbe has admitted he cannot wait for the clash...Cerro Porteno's teenage sensation Juan Manuel Iturbe has affirmed that he is anxious to get on the field for Saturday's Guarani Superclasico against fierce rivals Olimpia, and has even invited the Paraguayan president Fernando Lugo to attend the game.
"It is going to be a great show, and a day that I have dreamt about for a long time. It will be extremely exciting; as well as that I hope that it will be a great day for those in the Cerro colours," 'La Pulguita' stated in a press conference held on Wednesday evening.
Coming off two excellent cameos for the Olla following his move back to Paraguay, the 17-year-old was honoured by an invitation to meet President Lugo at his Asuncion residence; and Iturbe admitted that while meeting the statesman he could not resist extending an invitation of his own.
"I am grateful for the invitation, I got to know the palace and he wanted to meet my family and me; we never spoke on the subject of national teams, we just talked about football with [Cerro president] Juan Jose Zapag.
"I told him that he was invited to come on Saturday. Now it's all up to him," the forward affirmed before collapsing into laughter.
