Argentina coach Diego Maradona has named his squad for the upcoming international friendly against Costa Rica, which is to be played in Cordoba on January 26.
Maradona's squad is comprised almost entirely of Argentina based players. Fiorentina midfielder Mario Bolatti is the only player plying his trade abroad, although he played in Argentina last year, too.
The controversial Argentina coach has handed eight players their first call-up. Nelson Ibanez, Guillermo Burdisso, Gaston Diaz, Franco Razzotti, Jonatan Cristaldo, Carlos Matheu, Walter Ervitti and Mauro Boselli all get the chance to force their way into Argentina's World Cup squad.
