Boca Interested In San Lorenzo Midfielder Pablo Barrientos

According to the Argentine press, Los Xeneizes are hoping to secure the services of the exciting youngster...

San Lorenzo - Pablo Barrientos
Boca Juniors have been searching for a capable midfielder for a number of weeks now, and it seems that they have their sights set on San Lorenzo midfielder Pablo Barrientos.

Even though Barrientos is currently injured, the Argentine Apertura Champions are willing to wait until he recover from his long-term knee problem because they feel he has a lot to offer to the club.

The 24-year-old is owned by FC Moscow of Russia, but he has refused to return to the club and is hoping to continue his career in Argentina, whether that be at San Lorenzo or at another top club.

Boca are also keen on Los Cuervos goalkeeper Agustin Orion, who has also been out of action because of an injury he picked up when playing for his club against Libertad in the Copa Libertadores in March. Orion is rated among the best goalkeepers in Argentina.

San Lorenzo have confirmed that the 'keeper won't remain at the club when he is healthy and that they will sell him to another club, whether that be one from Argentina, Europe or Mexico.

Boca Juniors face San Lorenzo in Round 13 of the Argentine Clausura Championship on the weekend. The game is considered one of the biggest derbies in Argentina.
