Angeleri Will Join Lazio In June
According to the Argentine press, Marcos Angeleri will leave Estudiantes de La Plata for Lazio in June...
It was reported that highly-rated Argentine defender Marcos Angeleri will move to Lazio from Estudiantes de La Plata in June.
In recent months there has been much speculation that Angeleri would emigrate to Europe, more specifically to Atletico Madrid, but it seems that the player's future lies in the Italian capital.
Initially it was believed that Angeleri would be loaned out to Lazio for six months, with an option for a permanent deal at the conclusion of that period.
But after further negotiations between the clubs, Lazio will sign the player for four years and a half.
Angeleri, 25, played a key role as Estudiantes reached the final of the Copa Sudamericana in 2008.
His brilliant performances haven't gone unnoticed, and he will be part of Diego Maradona's Argentina squad to face France in a high-profile friendly match in Marseille on the 11th of February.
