Caceres: We Lost Three Vital Points
Boca Juniors defender, Julio Cesar Caceres, admitted that his side missed out on a great opportunity to close in on the title, after losing to Velez Sarsfield on Sunday...
The Paraguayan international admitted that Boca Juniors missed out on a big opportunity to move top of the Apertura Championship, after a 3-2 defeat to Velez Sarsfield at La Bombonera on Sunday.
Such a defeat was quite unexpected because Velez hadn't managed a win in Boca's territory for ten years.
"Boca have always overcome difficult situations," stated the experienced centre-back.
"Against Velez we lost three vital points, it was a match that we needed to win at all costs, but Boca have overcome these kind of situations before, we have to keep faith in ourselves because these final four rounds are going to be four finals," he explained to radio La Red.
Caceres, who abandoned the field 13 minutes into the second half, due to a muscle injury, could be out of action for Boca's last four matches. He will undergo tests on Monday, to find out how severe the injury is.
"Hopefully I didn't pull anything. It is the part of the championship that everyone wants to play, and to miss it would be very frustrating," he concluded.
