Palacio Returns To Training
Rodrigo Palacio returned to training with Boca Juniors on Thursday, and it seems very possible that he will be on the bench against Velez Sarsfield on the weekend...
After more than a month out, Rodrigo Palacio participated in a training session with the Boca Juniors squad on Thursday morning in Casa Amarilla.
Palacio took part in a 40 minute training session, and it increased the chances of the striker to be among the substitutes in the Apertura Championship clash with Velez Sarsfield, although it has not been confirmed.
On the other hand, it is certain that Pablo Mouche will return to Boca's starting XI, in the place of Ricardo Noir, while Juan Forlin is more than likely to replace the injured Gabriel Paletta.
Carlos Ischia, the Boca head coach, is most probably going to select the following starting XI: Javier Garcia, Facundo Roncaglia, Julio Caceres, Juan Forlin, Hugo Ibarra, Fabian Vargas, Sebastian Battaglia, Jesus Datolo, Juan Roman Riquelme, Pablo Mouche and Lucas Viatri.
From those players named, Caceres was the only one not to take part in the training session. Instead he travelled to Paraguay because of personal reasons.
In respect to Palacio, he had very little contact with the ball, he didn't move around much, and he seemed to lack sufficient confidence to earn himself a first team place. Palacio has been out of action for much time, and he needs to regain full fitness.
