Di Stefáno Delighted With Maradona Appointment
Alfredo Di Stéfano has revealed his delight that Diego Maradona is set to be named as the new head coach of the Argentina national team.

While Maradona may not have experience, Di Stefáno thinks that if he can start winning matches from the start then any doubts people have had will be dispelled.
"It is superb. He has the strength and the spirit to take the national team on," Di Stefáno was quoted as saying by Marca.
"I am very pleased. Now all he needs to do is to start winning games because that is where a coach's ability and experience is formed.
"In life, he goes from one thing to the next and this is the only thing that Maradona was missing.
"He has already won everything that there is to win."
Di Stefáno made six appearances for his native Argentina before politics saw him also appear for Colombia and Spain, but he has always been allied to the Albiceleste.
Now he feels that a former player with the presence of Maradona was the obvious choice to replace Alfio Basile at the helm.
"The coach is the chicken and the others are chicks. He was an excellent player. He knows what it means to be a coach or a technical secretary and if he fails than he fails," he Di Stefáno continued.
"I do not know what character if the best to be a coach, but you do need to have the right way to deal with players and that is how games are won."
