Godoy Cruz Ready For Gimnasia
Daniel Oldra, the coach of Godoy Cruz, confirmed that he will repeat the same formation that thrashed Boca Juniors when his side meet Gimnasia de Jujuy on Sunday...
Daniel Oldra, the coach of Godoy Cruz of Mendoza, announced that he will repeat the same starting XI that thrashed Boca Juniors 4-1 when his team clash with Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy on Sunday.
Godoy Cruz played an extraordinary match against Boca last weekend, and the coach was so pleased by the performance of his players that he made no changes to the side to face Gimnasia de Jujuy in a round nine Argentine Apertura Championship match.
El Tomba have demonstrated that they have what it takes to remain in the Argentine top flight after a good start to the season, and they are expected to win the three points against a struggling Gimnasia de Jujuy side. Colombian striker Jairo Castillo, who scored a superb hat-trick against Boca, will be their main danger weapon on Sunday.
Daniel Oldra's Godoy Cruz side will look like the following: Nelson Ibanez, Guillermo Franco, Leonardo Sigali, Francisco Dutari, Lautaro Formica, Hernan Encina, Nicolas Olmedo, Ariel Rojas, Victor Figueroa, Ivan Borghello and Jairo Castillo.
Godoy Cruz have won three of their first eight league matches this season, and currently find themselves in mid-table, nine points behind league leaders San Lorenzo.
