The ex-Brazil international has recommended that the Catalans make the Santos forward their primary transfer target, while casting his eye on replacements for Victor Valdes

A transfer tug-of-war is breaking out for the Selecao star between the Primera Division leaders as well as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
But Taffarel believes signing the forward should be regarded as a major coup for the Camp Nou outfit.
"If [Lionel] Messi, who is a great player - the best ever - wins everything already, then Barcelona will be champions of everything if Neymar plays as well for them as he does for Brazil," proclaimed the 46-year-old to Spanish daily Sport.
"He could do very well either now, or after the World Cup, with Barcelona. He has impressive quality, and is very fast."
Meanwhile, Blaugrana goalkeeper Victor Valdes recently made headlines for announcing he would not be renewing his contract, stating he wished to broaden his experiences abroad.
And Taffarel offered his suggestions as to who Tito Vilanova should focus on acquiring to replace the Spaniard.
"Manuel Neuer should be the first name on their minds, if he considers leaving Bayern, he would be perfect as a Valdes replacement," he added.
"Valencia's Diego Alves also has great technique. Naturally, being Brazillian, he plays better with his feet than his hands."
Valdes is believed to be considering his future in Brazil, England, Germany or the Middle East, after spending 11 illustrious seasons at his boyhood club.
