The Brazilian midfielder impressed in his nation's recent trashing of Iraq, and believes he is returning to form for club and country

Brazil midfielder Kaka believes he is on the way back to the top of his game after his nation's 6-0 win over Iraq, which saw the 30-year old score one and set up another.

The Real Madrid man enjoyed a frustrating season at the Santiago Bernabeu last term, with Mesut Ozil preferred in the playmaker berth for Los Blancos' crucial fixtures.

The former AC Milan star is confident of making a full return to form however, stating he has been determined to emulate the performances which saw him win the 2007 Ballon d'Or.

"I never lost the hope of coming back and experiencing what I am now. This is a personal resurgence that I have achieved gradually through a lot of hard work," the midfielder told Marca.

"I'm trying to make the most of every match, enjoy it and do a job for the team. I know that I have to take every opportunity I get to win back my place in the football world."

"I think I've been improving and flourishing over the last few days and there's more to come. I'm in great form, I feel great physically and now I have the chance to ride that wave."

Kaka will be hoping to continue his vein of form when Brazil face Japan in a friendly on Tuesday.
