The 30-year-old has not featured for the Selecao since the 2010 World Cup, but earned himself a recall following some fine performances for the Spanish champions, and the 20-year-old is eagerly anticipating featuring alongside the midfielder.
"He's a legend. Kaka led the national team for many years and I hope that we can play together many times," Neymar said to reporters.
"Playing alongside him is going to be very special, because he's a role model for this generation of players."
The Real Madrid midfielder was equally positive about his young compatriot, and hailed his influence on the team spirit.
"He's an amazing footballer and I’m eager to play alongside him. Neymar is a great lad. He's always laughing and playing jokes.
"He's one of a kind. I'm not going to discover anything new about him as a player."
