The 20-year-old seems to have improved his discipline on the pitch in recent months, and the attacker feels the birth of his son played a key role in his development on the pitch
The 20-year-old attacker was accused of indiscipline in the early stages of his career, but has not made any headlines recently as he has improved his behaviour.
"I have become much more mature. I did not know how to behave. But then I told myself that if I was man enough to make someone pregnant, I had to take my responsibility and act like a man," Neymar stated to Globo.
"I have learned a lot from it and I am still learning things. My son David is the biggest joy in my life."
The tricky attacker causes his opponents all kinds of trouble with his dribbles and individual actions, but he stressed that all he does is improvise on the pitch.
"I don't know where the talent comes from. It all started when I was a kid and improvised a bit. At home, I put some chairs and tables in the room and tried to dodge them.
"I'm just following my intuition out there. I do what feels right at a particular moment. Obviously, there are a few things as well that I've worked on on the training pitch."
The Brazil international is continually being linked with a move to Europe, with clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United all keeping tabs on him.
