Neymar: Brazil hope to achieve Olympic glory

The Santos superstar claims Mano Menezes' side are preparing for the London games and that losing to Argentina in a friendly will not matter if they win their competitive fixtures
Neymar has stressed that Brazil can lose in friendly fixtures as long as they pick up gold at this summer's Olympic Games.

The Selecao are preparing for the tournament with a raft of warm-up matches, and take on Argentina in non-competitive action this Saturday.

The Santos attacker admits the Olympics is on the players' minds but vows him and his team-mates will take their bitter rivals seriously this weekend.

"We're trying to find our best training patterns, our style of play and the ideal team for the London Games," the 20-year-old told reporters at a press confernece.

“Of course we want to win the friendly, but now is the right time to lose as we do not want to get beat in the Olympics.

“We are working hard to ensure that at the right time, we can achieve our goal.

"Of course we need to respect Argentina and we have to play our football. We did not come here for nothing; we came here to represent the national team and to get the victory."

Kick-off between the South American heavyweights is scheduled for 21:00CET.
