The Frenchman caused controversy by slating the host nation's preparations for the 2014 World Cup amidst reports that construction work on the selection stadia is behind scheduleBrazilian congressman Roberto Requiao has warned Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke that he runs the risk of getting a kick up the backside if he arrives in the country next week.
Valcke sparked outrage in Brazil when he attacked the country's preparations for the 2014 World Cup finals.
Fifa president Sepp Blatter met with Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff in March in an attempt to defuse the situation and Valcke enjoyed amicable talks with members of the 2014 World Cup Local Organising Committee (COL) last week.
However, Requiao has now stirred things up ahead of the Frenchman's scheduled visit to Brazil next Wednesday by claiming during a session of the Brazilian senate that Valcke is not welcome.
"We cannot accept Fifa's doorman," he stated. "A request was approved to receive Blatter, not Fifa's janitor.
"If it's up to me, he will get a kick backside!"
There have been regular reports that construction work on Brazil's selected venues for the 2014 World Cup is behind schedule and that planned infrastructural updates within the host cities might not be complete in time for the big kick-off.
