Brazil team-mates Neymar and Leandro Damiao have not let the hotly-anticipated clash between their two clubs get in the way of some friendly banter, as the pair exchanged light-hearted greetings hours before meeting in Wednesday's clash between Santos and Internacional.
The two youngsters, 20 and 22 respectively, have built up a close relationship due to their presence in the Selecao for the past 12 months, but will put friendship aside in a key Copa Libertadores clash between the Brazilian giants.
Having lost their first outing in Group 1 to The Strongest, Neymar's Santos are especially in need of a win against the Porto Alegre side.
Despite the upcoming clash, however, Neymar and Damiao wrote to each other before the encounter and joked about the upcoming 90 minutes.
"The day has arrived, hey... go easy on us," the Santos youngster wrote to his rival through twitter on Wednesday afternoon, to receive an almost instant reply from the Inter hitman.
"Brother, the game we were waiting for has arrived. Good luck, but let us win!"
While Santos tasted defeat in their group stage opener, the Colorado had rather better luck, taking down Juan Aurich 2-0 in Beira Rio.
