The Argentine playmaker has decided to turn down the opportunity to move to Asia in order to stay at his current clubAndres D'Alessandro has decided to snub a move to Shanghai Shenhua in favour of a prolonged stay with Internacional.
The influential midfielder had the opportunity to sign a reported €5 million a year deal with the ambitious Chinese side, but after agreeing an improved contract will now stay at his current club.
"I am happy to stay at Inter. I remain at the club that has welcomed me very well, and has always given me a lot of affection. I feel great pride to continue wearing this shirt," D'Alessandro said to the official Internacional website.
"Sometimes football puts you in a difficult situation like this, but I am confident that I have made the right decision. I want to thank the fans for all their support and the affection they have showed."
The 30-year-old midfielder joined Inter from San Lorenzo in 2008, and has since developed into a key player at the Brazilian side.
