The Brazilian attacker has finally made a permanent move back to his homeland after enjoying a seven-year spell in the Russian capital, signing a deal until 2014
Contract: December 2014
Flamengo have confirmed on their official website that they have completed the transfer of attacker Vagner Love from CSKA Moscow for a transfer fee believed to be €10 million. The forward has signed a contract until December 2014 with his new club.
The Brazilian outfit had long been in talks with CSKA about the 27-year-old, and both clubs have now finally reached an agreement about a fee.
"We have always shown a huge affection for Vagner Love. He is a fan of the club and he has the profile we want at Flamengo. He is in love with this club and he will put on the holy cloak with a lot of authority," club president Patricia Amorim commented on the club's official website.
"Only players who want to play can do so at Flamengo and he always showed that he wanted this. We are very happy with his return and we hope that he will score many goals for our fans to celebrate."
Vagner Love previously wore the Flamengo shirt during a six-month loan spell in the first half of 2010.
