Real Madrid's Kaka & Marcelo ruled out of Brazil's Gabon & Egypt friendlies

The attacking midfielder continues to battle with fitness problems and will not join up with his national team for the upcoming friendly matches, and neither will the left-back
Real Madrid playmaker Kaka will not take part in Brazil's upcoming friendlies against Gabon and Egypt, while Marcelo will also miss out due to injury.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed on Monday that the pair have been ruled out for the two clashes. The former AC Milan man is suffering with a calf complaint, while Marcelo has pulled up with a strain to the left thigh muscle.

The news will come as a major blow to the midfielder, who was hoping to take the chance to reclaim his place in the national team's setup.

Kaka has not featured for his country since July 2 of 2010, when the Selecao crashed out of the World Cup finals in South Africa after a 2-1 defeat against the Netherlands.

The CBF also announced on their official website that Luiz Gustavo would not appear against Gabon. The Bayern star does not have the appropriate vaccination certification to enter the African nation, and will meet up with the squad when they prepare for the second match of the series.

Brazil take on Gabon in Libreville on November 10, while the match against Egypt will be played four days later in the Qatari city of Doha.
