The Brazil international and Manchester United star Javier Hernandez both spoke to press ahead of the Selecao's clash with Mexico on Tuesday evening
The Brazilian sensation has been linked with a move to a number of leading clubs in England and Spain, especially Real Madrid, but he has admitted that he does not need to change continent to get worldwide acclaim.
"I am very happy to know the affection that people have for me outside Brazil as well [as here]. This shows that there is no need to play in Europe to be known," he told Globoesporte ahead of his nation's match against Mexico.
Brazil's opponents have their own hero in the form of Manchester United Javier Hernandez, who has stated he wants his international team-mates to get the same praise.
"I am very grateful to the Mexican people for their affection, but I wish it was also given to the rest of the team," he stated.
Brazil and Mexico go head-to-head in the Estadio Corona in Torreon on Tuesday night.
