Wanda Nara, the wife of Gremio star Maxi Lopez, is rumoured to be eager to return to Europe with her husband.

Having rediscovered his past form in the Brazilian league, the ex-Mallorca forward is the subject of interest from clubs such as Lazio.

With this in mind, Radio Gaucha has claimed that Nara is attempting to persuade her husband to accept a move to the city of Rome.

However, Gremio themselves have stated that one of their prized assets is going nowhere, while the player's agent remarked that he has as yet heard of no formal interest from Lazio's side.

In fact the player's advisor, Alberto Guerra, says that he is "90% certain" that Lopez will remain in Porto Alegre.

However, this is complicated by the fact that he is only on loan at the Tricolor, with Russian outfit FC Moscow holding the bulk of his contract.

Muscovite president Igor Dmitriev stated yesterday that Maxi is looking to move back to Europe, and that the Russian club will not stand in the way of such a transfer.

Next week the 25-year-old Lopez will return to Gremio to discuss his future, following on from his holiday in Buenos Aires, his home city.
