Argentine Prodigy Matias De Federico Set To Join Corinthians
The Argentine sensation will almost certainly become a member of the Timao...
According to newspaper Lance, De Federico is awaiting the return to Brazil of Corinthians president, Andres Sanchez, who was part of the Brazilian national team delegation in Estonia for a friendly match earlier in the week.
The agent of the Argentine reunited with representatives of Corinthians on Wednesday, in order to finalise some minor details of the contract. When Sanchez returns to Brazil he will make the deal formal.
Corinthians coach Mano Menezes, who approved the signing of the 19-year-old, affirmed that De Federico "is a left-footed midfielder, a very good player with lots of quality with the ball at his feet."
"He can work in a similar formation to the one we have, but there can also be variations because he is a quality player. We have looked in the Argentine market because it is a market of very high quality," he added.
Other possible reinforcements for the Copa do Brasil champions include Enrique Vera of Liga de Quito and Borges of Sao Paulo.
