Dunga was appointed as manager of the Selecao in 2006, a decision which sparked controversy among some of the fans as the former Fiorentina midfielder had no previous managerial experience.
However, the 45-year-old has been very successful at the helm of the Brazilian national side, guiding the team to success in the Copa America and, most recently, in the Confederations Cup.
And Ronaldo, who played alongside Dunga in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups, says he is impressed with the work done by the Brazil head coach so far.
"The team is being very well prepared by Dunga," Ronaldo told the Brazilian press.
"Each day I am more surprised by his quality as a coach, by his choices."
Ronaldo has not been called up by Dunga of yet, but he does not rule out a return to the five-time World Cup winners.
"I miss it [playing for Brazil] a lot, but everything has its moment. If I return to the team, I will take that moment.
"But right now I am like a Brazilian supporter, in love with football."
