'After tonight other teams will fear Madrid even more' - Real Madrid-Galatasaray in tweets with Fernando Morientes

The former Real Madrid striker watched los Blancos in action in the Champions League on Wednesday while taking to Twitter as part of Heineken's 'Share The Sofa' evening
Who needs Cristiano Ronaldo? Real Madrid faced Galatasaray without their star man and played 65 minutes with 10 men after Sergio Ramos was sent off, but still ran out 4-1 winners in the Champions League on Wednesday to seal their place in the last 16.

Fernando Morientes watched his former club in action and tweeted his thoughts on the game for Heineken throughout the encounter, as part of their '#ShareTheSofa' night, and believes the result sends out a message to the rest of Europe.

Goal compiled a list of our favourite tweets from the Spaniard during and after the game, including his thoughts on Gareth Bale, Ronaldo and an ever-improving Madrid side.

"Cristiano being injured will have an impact tonight - but Madrid cant just depend on one player."

"Thank you, Bale, thank you. Glad to get that right. Funny watching Cristiano tweeting that too."

"To play for such a long time with only 10 players. Real Madrid have played a great game tonight."

"Bale had too much time to think there - if chance came later in the game, maybe he would have got it."

"Football players these days need to be open to new cultures and experiences to play abroad."
