CSKA Moscow president Yevgeni Giner confirms Lazio interest in Keisuke Honda

The Roman side's representatives have travelled to Moscow to negotiate a deal for the 25-year-old, although the club's supremo has stated no offer has been accepted yet

CSKA Moscow president Yevgeni Giner has confirmed that Lazio have an expressed an interest in Keisuke Honda, but has hastened to add that no deal has been agreed for the Japanese star.

The 25-year-old has caught the eye of several top European clubs, and speaking to Radio Mayak, Giner confirmed the Roman side had made contact in regards to Honda's services.

"I can confirm that some Lazio officials, came to Moscow to discuss a deal for Honda," he said. "The negotiations are still ongoing as we have no reached an agreement.

"Currently our valuations are €2-3 million apart. This could be sorted by tomorrow."

Honda moved to the Russian capital in 2010 from Dutch side VVV Venlo, and scored seven goals in 17 appearances as his side finished second in the Russian Premier League table.
