Rubin Kazan have stated that troubled midfielder Carlos Eduardo will not be moving back to Brazil, despite a potential transfer to former club Gremio speculated in the media.
The 23-year-old has had injury concerns since signing from Hoffenheim in August 2010, and has been allowed to train with his old club in an effort to get back to fitness.
Club officials at the former Russian champions have said, however, that the Selecao man is going nowhere.
"Our club has not been holding, and does not intend to hold, any negotiations about Carlos Eduardo’s transfer to any club, be it Gremio or any other team," a statement on the official club website reads.
The South American's contract runs until June 2014, after Rubin paid €20 million to the German club for his services at the beginning of the season.
