Mark Gonzalez Injury Blow For CSKA Moscow
The midfielder has picked up an ankle injury...
Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow have received some bad news from the treatment table in the build-up towards the upcoming league match against Spartak Nalchik this Saturday.
Attacking midfielder Mark Gonzalez picked up an injury in Chile's 4-2 World Cup qualifier victory against Colombia last weekend and will be sidelined for several weeks.
Gonzalez started the game, but was substituted midway through the second half due to the ankle problem. A report in Sport Express stated that the 25-year-old returned to Russia for further examination.
A scan has now made it clear that he will be out of action for at least three weeks. Gonzalez will miss a number of Russian league clashes due to the knock, plus the Champions League clash against Manchester United on October 21.
