Aragones Played A Small Part In Spain's Euro 2008 Success - Villar
President of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF), Angel Maria Villar, thanked Luis Aragones for the work he done during Spain’s Euro 2008 triumph but he believes the players deserve most of the credit.

La Seleccion were sublime
from start to finish but they did show signs of weakness in the quarter final
against Italy.
Nevertheless, they went on to win the tournament and Aragones left his post as coach to go on and take up a new position with Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Villar believes that Aragones made a minor contribution to Spain but it was an important one.
“Luis has been a great coach for the national side and we are all grateful for his work,” Villar told Radio Marca.
“He was impeccable and he did face complicated situations but we were always confident in him.
“I believe that 95 percent of Spain’s success at Euro 2008 was down to the players with Luis contributing five percent but it was an important contribution from the coach.”
Villar also revealed that a new coach for La Seleccion is being hunted and that he will reveal him when the time is right.
“We will unveil the new coach at the right moment,” said the chief.
“The RFEF are also working towards brining in a new coach and we have been talking with Vicente Del Bosque.”
