thumbnail Hello,

Germany coach Joachim Löw has offered his initial thoughts on Euro 2008 final opponents Spain...

With Germany having booked their place in the final with their dramatic late win over Turkey on Wednesday, last night saw Spain dominate a promising Russia side to join them in the final.

It will be Spain's third final to Germany's six, while Germany have three titles to Spain's one, but Löw paid testament to the achievement of the Spanish - the only team still unbeaten in the tournament - and believes they are less predictable than Portugal, who Germany beat in the quarterfinal with by far their best performance of the tournament.

"The Spaniards have offered an impressive achievement. Throughout the tournament they have played a high level and were technically strong," said Löw following their impressive win over Russia last night.

"Compared to the Portuguese, they play variable, and midfield players constantly switch positions and push into the top. This makes them unpredictable."

Germany and Spain meet in the final on Sunday, June 29 in Vienna.
