Klose: Toni And 'The Ball' Having Trouble
Having broken his own Euro 2008 duck, Miroslav Klose has revealed that Luca Toni is fretting over his own scoring drought...
Miroslav Klose has revealed that misfiring Italy hitman Luca Toni has texted him about his relationship problems - with the ball.
The Bayern Munich teammates are keeping in touch despite differing fortunes at Euro 2008. German ace Klose finally bagged his first ever goal at a European championships, while Italian Toni's goalmouth troubles have been widely discussed.
Klose said: “Luca
sent me a text message after our victory over Portugal.
“He told me he has been having problems with his best friend. I asked who it was and he answered ‘the ball.’
“His best friend is not doing what he asks it to.”
Toni will look to salvage the previously unflappable bond he has enjoyed with hi soul mate when Italy take on Spain on Sunday in the last quarter-final tie.Duncan Robertson, Goal.com
