Capello Could Have Been Prison Guard - Donadoni
Italy coach Roberto Donadoni talked about his experience working with current England coach Fabio Capello at Milan.
Today Italy coach Roberto Donadoni, who's preparing his team for tomorrow's debut game against Holland at Euro 2008, talked about one of his mentors, former Milan coach Fabio Capello, currently the English national team boss.
"Capello is a great coach, he was the one who introduced me to the world of tactics," he said. "Personally, I always try to establish a relationship with each player. Capello, meanwhile, is a tough guy, I think he would have made a good prison guard."
Another man whose toughness seems to be his calling card is defender Marco Materazzi, who will most probably start in tomorrow's game against Holland.
Concerning the player's notorious hard-tackling nature, Donadoni said: "I haven't talked to him about that, each player is responsible for his own behaviour and has to keep it under control. As coaches we have to be examples, but the players have to regulate themselves."
