Wales come into the game second from bottom in Group A of World Cup qualifying, a point ahead of Scotland, with three fixtures to go.
Reaching Brazil is impossible for the Welsh but they could yet finish third, which would mean better seeding for next year's draw for Euro 2016 qualification and Collison wants a strong end to their campaign as a result.
"It's up to us to get as many points as possible," the West Ham midfielder remarked.
"Obviously we want to keep up with the good performances but it's also important we put points on the board and finish as high up as possible and look to qualify for the Euros now."
