Aguero to return to Manchester City after failing to recover from injury with Argentina
The striker left for international duty despite not featuring since February 24, and will now make his way back to the Etihad Stadium after being assessed by medical staff
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will return to England on Wednesday after failing to recover from a knee injury while on international duty.
The 24-year-old met up with the Argentina squad on Monday, but Alejandro Sabella’s medical staff deemed it unwise to risk him in the upcoming World Cup qualifying double-header against Venezuela and Bolivia.

Manchester City are 6/1 with Paddy Power to beat Newcastle 2-0 on March 30
Aguero has not featured for City since a 2-0 win over Chelsea on February 24, with Carlos Tevez and Dzeko leading the line for the champions in his absence as Manchester United have opened up a 15-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
A 2-1 win over Chile in their last qualifier leaves Argentina three points clear of the qualifying group.
