Menezes hands Fred Brazil recall

The Selecao boss has rewarded the striker for his impressive domestic form, by naming him in his squad to face Argentina
Fred has been handed his first Brazil call-up since the 2011 Copa America, after being named in Mano Menezes' 19-man roster for the second-leg of the Superclasico.

The Fluminense striker has been in fine form at domestic level and his 19 goals helped the club seal their second Brasileiro title in three years on Sunday.

Flu's recent success has seen three other players called up to the party alongside Fred, with Diego Cavalieri, Carlinhos and Thiago Neves all given call-ups.

The Selecao beat Alejandro Sabella's side 2-1 in the first-leg of the derby series back in September. The return fixture was due to be played on October 23, only for the match to be abandoned because of power failure and will now take place on November 22.
