Serbian FA posts video accusing Rose of lying about racial abuse

The FSS counters the England Under-21s star's claims that he was racially abused every time he touched the ball by posting a six-minute highlight reel of his performance

The Serbian FA [FSS] has posted a video attempting to discredit Danny Rose's claims that he was racially abused "every time" that he touched the ball during England Under-21s' 1-0 victory in Krusevac on Tuesday.

The six-minute clip, posted on video sharing website YouTube, is an individual highlights package of Rose in action against Serbia Under-21's, in which the monkey chants he is alleged to have been subjected to are hard to hear.

The FSS released a statement on Wednesday accusing Rose of acting in an "inappropriate and vulgar" manner after the full-back was red carded for kicking a ball into the crowd.

However, the Sunderland loanee later insisted his actions were a result of the torrent of abuse he was subjected to by Serbian fans throughout the game.

The video, which is titled "Danny Rose is lying to whom?", suggests it was in fact the defender in the wrong.

A caption alongside the video reads: "As you can see in this video, during the Uefa Under-21 play-off game, there was no unsportsmanlike cheering and insulting opposing players on racial grounds."

Whistling can be heard every time Rose is on the ball throughout the clip however, and the final 15 minutes of the game are excluded completely.

Uefa announced their intention to look into the improper conduct of both sets of players with regards to the violent clashes that marred the end of the game. Serbian fans will also be investigated for racist chanting.
