thumbnail Hello,

The winger is set to make his debut in the national side, while the former Liverpool star returns after a lengthy absence

Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk has announced his 23-man squad for their friendly matches at home against Switzerland on November 11 and away versus Germany four days later.

The Oranje coach has somewhat surprisingly included Ajax winger Derk Boerrigter in his roster for the first time, as the left-footed attacker receives a reward for his fine form in the past few weeks.

Furthermore, Hoffenheim attacker Ryan Babel has made the squad for the first time in almost a year, while Schalke's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar made the cut despite recently suffering a fractured nose.

Hamburg defender Jeffrey Bruma, Ajax midfielder Theo Janssen and Juventus winger Eljero Elia all missed out on a place in the final squad for various reasons after being included in Van Marwijk's provisional 26-man squad.
