I Want To Play At 2014 World Cup With Netherlands - Jonathan De Guzman

Mallorca midfielder Jonathan de Guzman is determined to break into the Netherlands set-up ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
Real Mallorca midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has been capped at under-21 level several times for Holland, but the attacking midfielder has yet to make his debut for Netherlands' senior side.

The 23-year-old is determined to make it into Oranje though and has set his sights on a spot in Holland's 2014 World Cup squad.

"I've really made a step forward by joining Mallorca and playing every week again. My progress had halted in the past two seasons," said De Guzman to NUsport. "You have to join Barcelona or Real Madrid if you really want to go big in Spain and I haven't given up on such a transfer just yet."

"I still dream of playing for Oranje, but they just made it to the final of a World Cup so it won't be easy to break into the team. I'm confident that I have the qualities to make it though.

"Euro 2012 in Poland-Ukraine probably comes too soon for me, but I'm hopeful of making it into the Oranje squad for the 2014 World Cup."
