Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli: We Are Fragile
Italy coach Cesare Prandelli admits to fragility surrounding the national team camp before today's Euro 2012 qualifier in Estonia
By Andrew McLean
After a dismal World Cup in South Africa, failing to progress through what was considered a straight forward group and then losing to Ivory Coast in a friendly at West Ham United's Upton Park, a more youthful policy has been adopted by Prandelli but the pressure is mounting on young shoulders.
If Italy fail to win in the Estonian capital today it would equal a record eight games without a win for the Azzurri.
"Of course everyone is feeling fragile because there is an atmosphere of uncertainty, so it's natural," said Prandelli.
"Some of these players have only started their journey with the international team. If we lose these games I would not say it's a disaster it is what it is. We always have respect for our opponents.
"It's a qualification game on a small pitch, they are a good team, they have some good players. We can't wait to get started.
