All the friendly action involving Asian outfits wrapped up...
A single goal from Sarayoot Chaikamdee has given Bryan Robson's Thailand a 1-0 win over Singapore in their international friendly at Yamaha Stadium.
Robson was without the likes of Suree Sukha, Natthaphong Samana, Panupong Wongsa and Pipat Tonkanya, with the match being used to build up to the Asian Games and Suzuki Cup later this year after Thailand missed out on a place at the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar.
Radojko Avramovic's Singapore suffered a similar fate in their bid to qualify for Qatar and were beaten by their opponents here by the same scoreline that they were at the King's Cup earlier this year.
China 1-1 Bahrain
A quickly improving China were upstaged by their Gulf opponents at the opening of the new 60,000 seater Nanning International Stadium, where the hosts took the lead through Yu Hai just nine minutes in, only to be pegged back eight minutes later by Ahmed Hassan.
Under manager Gao Hongbo, over the past year China has risen to 77th on the FIFA rankings where it was once 100th, securing qualification for the 2011 Asian Cup in the process.
So too have Bahrain, who are preparing for the West Asian Football Federation Championship in September, as well as the Gulf Cup in Yemen in November as they build-up to Asian football's showpiece tournament in Qatar.
Armenia 1-3 Iran
A second-half double from defender Mohammad Nosrati was enough to give Team Meli the win over Armenia after the hosts took a bizarre first half lead through Aghvan Mkrtchyan.
The defender's cross sailed in off the far post after clearing the head of the Iran goalkeeper before the Asian powerhouse came from behind, Nosrati grabbing two within the space of as many minutes.
His first goal was a close range header before incredibly, he was able to replicate the feat of Mkrtchyan before him, seeing his attempted cross from the left flank sail inside the far post.
Despite then losing Javad Nekounam to a red card Iran extended their lead with an Hamidreza Aliasgari penalty to finish on top.
