The Bari defender also revealed that La Nazionale are preparing themselves to be in peak condition for their first match of the World Cup on June 14 against Paraguay.
"It is a personal joy to score, but it's a shame we lost," the 23-year-old told Sky. "We have nothing to prove to ourselves.
"The side played better in the second half, and we could not have avoided the two goals. But, we must improve.
"I think fatigue kicked in because we have been working really hard to be ready for June 14. These things usually happen in these types of matches," he concluded.
