New Argentina coach Diego Maradona has hit out at England as he prepares for his first game in charge against Scotland on November 19...El Pibe d'Or has taken a jibe at the English and he believes the Scottish people love him because of the goals he scored against the Three Lions in 1986 as well as the bad blood between both nations.
"They love me in Scotland," roared Maradona on Sky Sport Italia.
"I am going to a country where they adore me because the Scottish celebrated the goals I scored against the English in 1986.
"The Scottish have always had bad blood with the English, they are rivals."
"Glasgow? I will be putting out my strongest XI for the game against Scotland."
Maradona is scheduled to have a tour of Europe where he will visit England, Spain, Germany and Italy so he can watch his Argentine players in action with their clubs and pick his first national squad.
