The club have confirmed the 22-year-old was one of five people wounded in an attack in the early hours on Monday morning but have stressed he has no connection with the shooter
The 22-year-old was in the club in the Sisli district of the city at around 04:00 local time when the attacker opened fire, reportedly after a heated row with his girlfriend.
Tore was one of five people to be hit in the random shooting, with the club confirming he was taken to hospital for surgery after a bullet struck his shoulder, though they stressed the player has no connection with the shooter.
"Our player Gokhan Tore hurt his shoulder due to a man with a gun who was arguing with his girlfirend at a night club," a Besiktas club statement confirmed later on Monday. "The bullet accidently hit Gokhan Tore's shoulder and another five people were hurt in the attack.
"Our player has no connection with the attacker."
Besiktas director of football Onder Ozen revealed Tore is set to be discharged from hospital on Tuesday, and could return to training within a week.
"Gokhan Tore is going to have a surgery on his shoulder. He will be discharged tomorrow," he said. "We hope he will train with the team one week later."
Tore, currently on loan at Besiktas from Rubin Kazan, was involved in Sunday's Super Lig clash with Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce, which finished 1-1.
