The Portugal international has stated his intention to stay in Turkey even though the club remain embroiled in a financial battle, and have appointed a new coachHugo Almeida has reiterated that he does not want to leave Besiktas despite their financial problems, and the presence of a new coach in the form of Samet Aybaba.
Almeida moved to Inonu in January 2011, agreeing a three-and-a-half year contract with the club for €2 million, and has since become a regular in the Istanbul club's first team.
The 28-year-old has assured fans that he will stay, even though the club has been banned from the Europa League this year due to their financial situation.
"I do not want to leave. The only problem is with the issue of unpaid wages," he told Sabah. "But he makes it clear he wants to stay.
When he was asked about the financial issues that Besiktas have to face, Almeida admitted that there was going to be change at the club.
"Jobs will be different from last year."
Besiktas kick-off the new Super Lig season away to Istanbul BB on August 18.
