English attacker Darius Vassell decided to join Turkish outfit Ankaragucu from Manchester City last summer, but things are not exactly going smoothly for him.

The former England international made a decent start at his new club, but financial worries at the Akara outfit mean that Vassell could make a swift return to his home nation.

The 29-year-old attacker recently complained about the way Ankaragucu deals with their responsibilities when it comes to paying salaries on time - if wages are paid at all - and several reports from Turkey suggest that things have gone from bad to worse for Vassell.

The former Aston Villa star has reportedly been thrown out of his hotel room after the club failed to pay for his stay, without informing the attacker of their financial worries.

Vassell immediately attempted to contact club officials to get clarification on the situation, but he could not manage to get in touch with any member of the Ankaragucu board.

The new board, which has been riddled with financial problems since taking over last summer, is reportedly eager fire head coach Hikmet Karaman. However, Goal.com Turkey reports that the club owners lack the financial resources to release him from his duties.

Therefore, they didn't allow the players to train on Wednesday in order to frustrate Karaman, who arrived at the club facilities only to find himself entirely alone on the training pitch.
