River Plate's Diego Buonanotte Coy On Exit Reports

The River Plate prized asset has refused to rule out leaving his homeland to play in Europe.
Buonanotte was reported to be on Portuguese side Benfica's radar last summer but such interest never went beyond paper talk.

News stories in Portugal have recently claimed Buonanotte is being followed by both Benfica and Porto, with Besiktas another name in the frame.

The Turkish club are allegedly weighing up making an improved offer for the midfielder after their initial €5.7 million bid was turned down.

And while Buonanotte insists he is content with life at River Plate, he claims the club's financial problems may inspire his exit.

"I am not desperate to go nor am I dying to stay," he told OLE. "I have to think of my future.

"I have always said I would like to stay at River because they are my home, I have been here for nine years.

"River need the money and I dream of making that big jump which is, as they all say, to play in an European league."
