The former Netherlands defender's current deal expires in 2014, although club sporting director Marc Overmars has made it clear they plan to offer fresh terms to the 42-year-old.
De Boer has since revealed he plans to remain with the Eredivisie champions in the coming campaign, telling AT5: "I'm still with Ajax. From there you can to stop me, I’ll be here next year."
Ajax have opened up a five-point lead at the top of the table following their pulsating 3-2 victory over rivals PSV, but De Boer has warned that the title race is far from over.
“No, we're still not there," he went on. "We know what we need to do and we are focused on next Friday. We are in a good flow, and the results prove that. We sense the importance of Friday's game with Heerenveen."
