AZ suffered an embarassing 5-0 loss at home to Anzhi, in their Europa League play-off second leg on Thursday, a result in stark contrast to their league form, with the club unbeaten in three Eredivisie games.
“They have done some fantastic work in Alkmaar in the past few years," Advocaat said in a weekly press briefing this afternoon.
“I expect AZ will be keen to make amends. They will probably have forgotten the Anzhi game by Sunday and will be highly motivated to pull off a good result.”
