The combative midfielder is annoyed by referees constantly scrutinising him, after picking up his second booking in as many games for his new team, and then being quizzed on it
Spells at Bayern Munich, Barcelona and AC Milan have seen the Dutchman become recognised as a tough tackler and midfield enforcer, supported by his combative displays for the national side at the 2010 World Cup.
The midfielder is annoyed at the constant reference to his disciplinary record however, and expressed this to Eredivisie Live on Saturday.
"I committed one foul. Surely not every contact foul is a yellow card?"
"I'm getting a bit tired of the discussion. I make one foul and I get questioned about it," the veteran ranted.
"I didn't think it was a yellow card, but if the referee gives it I accept it. Let's not make a show of it."
PSV's next domestic fixture is a trip to FC Groningen on August 26.
