Official: Sneijder completes transfer to RKC
The 21-year-old midfielder was no longer needed at Eredivisie champions Ajax, and will now continue his career at the Waalwijk club
RKC announced on their official website that they have completed the transfer of Rodney Sneijder from Ajax for an undisclosed fee.The midfielder has signed a contract until the summer of 2014 with his new club. The 21-year-old joined the illustrious Ajax youth academy in 1999, but failed to break into the first team at the Amsterdam giants.
Sneijder was farmed out on loan to Utrecht last season, where he made 23 Eredivisie appearances, scoring three times in the process.
The Domstedelingen opted not to make the midfielder's stay at the club permanent, though, and Sneijder will now join RKC instead.
The younger brother of Inter star Wesley Sneijder will be wearing the No.8 jersey at the Waalwijk side.
