Ajax set to offer Ismail Aissati new deal - report
The Dutch champions have offered a new contract to the midfielder, whose old deal was set to run out at the end of June
Ajax will resume talks with Ismail Aissati in the coming days, with the Dutch side set to offer the midfielder a three-year contract, according to a report in Algemeen Dagblad.Aissati made 19 appearances for the Eredivisie champions last season, scoring two goals, after returning from a loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem.
The 23 year-old has made no secret of his desire to quit the Amsterdam ArenA at the end of his contract, which runs out at the ewnd of June, having already rejected a contract offer.
The report also states that Vitesse are willing to make a bid for the Morocco international, although his current club Ajax have begun extension talks.
"That [contract] proposal is under consideration," Aissati's agent was quoted as saying in the report.
Frank de Boer's side finished the Eredivisie campaign in first place, qualifying for next season's Champions League.
