AZ forward Kolbeinn Sigthorsson could very well be on his way out of the Eredivisie outfit at the end of the season as several Premier League sides are closely monitoring the progress of the prolific striker, The Guardian reports.

The 21-year-old has been one of the revelations of the Eredivisie season and has already scored 11 goals in 27 appearances. Sigthorsson didn't really rise to prominence until he scored five times in the 6-1 win over VVV earlier this year though.

Sigthorsson's good performances haven't gone unnoticed elsewhere as the attacker has previously been linked with Newcastle United.

The Magpies will now face stiff competition in the race for Sigthorsson's signature as West Ham United, Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland and Everton are all interested in signing the hitman as well.

The forward's current contract with AZ runs until the summer of 2012 and an offer in the region of €5 million could be needed to lure him away from his current club.
